Hi we are travelling from Tokyo to Hakuba (3 adults) in January next year and wondering if the 14 day pass will be good value.
We will be in Hakuba for 6 nights then back to Tokyo for 7 nights where we want to do some day trips.
Is it possible to go from Tokyo to Hiroshima and back in 1 day.

Hi there,
No, you would not cover enough distance to make a JR Pass cost efficient. There are better ways to get to Hakuba from Tokyo. Such as a private bus or Shinkansen to Nagano and the bus from there.
It's about 6 hours one way Tokyo - Hiroshima, doing it as a day trip would not be recommended :)
