This is my Travel Plan for 10 days in Japan in next october.
1- is better a regional pass (osaka-tokyo hokuriku pass) or a 7 days jr pass (starting it from day 4 to 10, excluding first 3 Tokyo days)?
2- from Kyoto to kanazawa, the jr Thunderbird express is included in both hokuriku pass and jr pass? (It seems there is no shinkansen line for this connection)
3- from kanazawa back to Tokyo, the Hokuriku shinkansen is not included in both hokuriku pass and jr pass? If not, which is included?

Hi there,
1.) Since you visit Kanazawa, it would make sense to use a Osaka-tokyo hokuriku pass.
2.) Yes, both passes cover this.
3.) It is also included in both passes.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
