Tokyo - Kyoto - day trip to Osaka or Hiroshima?

Hi,

We are flexible with dates, travelling with a 10 month old baby.

14th May - fly in from Haneda (hoping to take limousine bus - is this covered with JR pass?) Or do you recommend any easy options to get from airport to Akasaka with 3 suitcases and a baby?

21st or 23rd May - depending on whether we get a 7 day or 14 day JR pass. Is 9 days too long to stay in Tokyo?
21st or 23rd May - train to Kyoto

27th May - day trip to Osaka? or day trip to Hiroshima? Or is it worth staying in Osaka for 2 nights? is 7 days too long to stay in Kyoto with a baby?

30th May - fly out of Haneda

I hope you understand my questions, if not I can clarify.

Kind regards,
Amelia

Hi Amelia,

The Limousine bus is not covered by the JR Pass. You can however use the Narita Express into Tokyo. This is the fastest and most convenient way covered by the JR Pass.

You can both consider a 7-day or 14-day JR Pass for this trip when going to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo.

Staying longer in 1-2 places may actually be nice and help you really explore the area, it will also be easier with your baby. How long exactly would depend on what you want to see/do/eat etc.

Kind regards,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel for your response.
Do you have an option from Haneda airport that is covered by the JR pass?
Cheers

Hi Amelia,

You can use the Tokyo Monorail using the JR Pass to travel into Tokyo, or access the wider JR Network.
