12/29: Arrive in Tokyo
1/2: fly to Asahikawa, train to Furano
1/7: Furano->Otaru
1/9: Otaru->Niseko
1/18: Niseko->Appi Kogen (activate 21 or 14 day JR green pass)
1/20: Appi Kogen->Rokuhara
1/22: Rokuhara->Yudanaka
1/26: Yudanaka->Hakuba
1/30: Hakuba-> Kyoto (14 day pass expires)
2/2: Kyoto->Fuji (single ticket, if I get 14 day pass)
2/3: Fuji->Narita (single ticket, if I get 14 day pass)

Is it more cost effective to buy a 14 day pass and 2 single tickets (Kyoto->Fuji & Fuji->Narita) or should I just get the 21 day pass?
A 28 day pass would be perfect for my trip! Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

I think I would look at using a Hokkaido Rail Pass for travel to Hokkaido, then use a JR Pass for the remainder of your travel. Going from Kyoto to Tokyo/Fuji is quite expensive, so I would keep the JR Pass for that part of the trip.

Kind regards,
Daniel
