Dear Sir/Mdm

I am travelling to Hiroshima on 13 Dec and staying a night there and going to Tokyo on 14 Dec staying in Ikebukuro. My itinerary for that period is as such.

13 - Hiroshima
14 - Tokyo
15 - Tokyo
16 - Yuzawa (stay for a night)
17 - Tokyo
18 - Mount Fuji (Hakone)
19 - Disneyland
20 - Disneyland
21-23 Tokyo
24 - ikebukuro - Narita

I am travelling with 2 adults, a 14 yr old and 2 kids (11 and 6).

What is the best pass to buy to also save some money and since I be staying in Tokyo for quite Long, any other places I should include to make use of the 7 day JR Pass? (Osaka? Kyoto?)

Thank you.

Regards
Hakim

Hi Hakim,

How are you travelling to Hiroshima, are you flying in or travelling by rail?

There are many nice stops you can include from Hiroshima to Tokyo, just a couple are Himeji, Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto, Shizuoka, Hakone and more. Himeji is an ideal stop over, as you can visit the castle from the station on foot and enjoy its gardens too.

Kyoto and Osaka are great but you need to travel into the city first, which adds extra time. I'd stay at Kyoto or Osaka if you can add at least one night in either.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

13 - Hiroshima
14 - Tokyo (Day 1 JR Pass)
15 - Tokyo (Day 2 JR Pass)
16 - Yuzawa (stay for a night) (Day 3 JR Pass)
17 - Tokyo (Day 4 JR Pass)
18 - Mount Fuji (Hakone) (Day 5 JR Pass)
19 - Disneyland (Day 6 JR Pass)
