Below is a copy of our itinerary, do you think we could pull off a regional + 7 day pass, or do we need a 14 day pass?

Hi there,

I think you'll be more than fine buying a 7-day Japan Rail Pass for the last 7-days of your trip, then look at using local tickets for travel around Tokyo. You can also consider using the Hakone Free Pass for your trip around Hakone.

Thanks- that is helpful. Should we buy those local tickets for in/around Tokyo beforehand? Are those local tickets the same as regional tickets? Thank you!
