Hi, was wondering if i can squeeze in a 1 day Nara trip and 1 Hiroshima & Nagasaki trip.
My planned itinerary is as follows:
9/3: Sapporo
10/3: Sapporo - Tokyo
11/3: Tokyo
12/3: Tokyo
13/3: Tokyo
14/3: Tokyo - Kyoto
15/3: Kyoto - Osaka - Nara - Osaka (<-- Do you have a better suggestion?)
16/3: Osaka - Hiroshima - Nagasaki - Osaka (<-- Do you have a better suggestion?)
17/3: Osaka
18/3: Osaka
I will activate my JR Pass on 10/3 so I can use it up to end of the day on 16/3
Hi there,
You can do Nara as Half-a-day-trip if you leave early. Get on the train at 6-7 am to have most of the day for sightseeing.
Hiroshima can also be done as a full day trip from Osaka but Nagasaki is simply too far away. You'd have to spend 1-2 nights in Nagasaki for the travel time to be worth it. Still Hiroshima has plenty to offer for a day. Visit the peace memorial museum and park, then head to Miyajima to see the famous tori gate floating on the water.
