I hope you can help.
1)We are flying into Osaka 1 night
2) Traveling from Osaka to Tokyo - 3 night stay Tokyo
3) then Tokyo to Mt Fuji for 2 night stay
4) Mt Fuji to Osaka - Osaka for 4 nights
5) Day trip when in Osaka to Kyoto
Not sure if we should get the 7 or 14 day JR Pass or if a combination of the west and central pass is a cheaper option.
We are a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children (age 10 and 12)
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi there,
I recommend using the 14 Day Japan Rail Pass for travel to Tokyo and back to Osaka. You can also use the JR Pass on local JR lines around Osaka and Tokyo and for (part of the way) to Fuji. All in all, adding to a good bit of savings.
