Hi! I will be travelling from Narita airport to stay in Ikebukuro for 6 days for sightseeing in Tokyo. I then plan to travel to Kyoto for 6 days for further sightseeing. Then depart from either Nariata or Kansai airport for flight home. Is the JR pass valid for travel within Tokyo and/or Kyoto? Would it be cost effective for this itinerary or should I buy individual tickets. Many thanks!

Hi there,
Yes, the JR Pass is valid on the Shinkansen between Tokyo - Kyoto. As well as for travel to/from the airport.
The most cost efficient option will depend on whether you will fly out from Kansai airport or Narita airport. Once decided, let me know and I can find the best option for you.
Kind regards,
Daniel
