Hi!

I will be travelling japan next month, and I was wondering if a JR Pass would cover ALL off the following trips

Tokyo - Kyoto
Kyoto - Nara
Nara - Osaka
Osaka - Kobe
Kobe - Naoshima
Naoshima - Hiroshima
Hiroshima - Fukoka
Fukoka - Beppu
Beppu - Kanazawa
Kanawa - Hakone
Hakone - Tokyo

I consider buying 21 Days pass and squeezing all of those in 21 days

Am i missing out on something for my first trip to japan?
Am i covered for ALL my transportation with the JR Pass?
Should I get a regional pass, covering specific areas of Japan?

Thank you so much, can't wait to visit beautiful Japan.

Hi there,

Really nice trip! As far as I can see the JR Pass will cover all your rail travel between the places you plan to visit and you would make outstanding savings using the Pass compared to purchasing normal tickets.

That said, you may still need local transport within cities and Hakone that is not covered by the JR Pass. The ferry to Naoshima is also not included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
