Hello!

I have a quick question about my trip in October. Would it be better for a 7 day or 14 day with the following itinerary based on where JR operates:

October 15th Arriving in Haneda. Staying central Tokyo
October 18th Traveling to Jomo-Kogen
October 20th Traveling to Kyoto
October 20th through the 28th, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Hiroshima and returning to Tokyo.

Would this trip be best served by the 14 day JR Pass or one way(s) on the Shinkansen?

Thank you!

Hi there,

You are travelling quite a lot and I think the 14 day JR Pass is an easy choice here. You can use the Shinkansen to Jomo-Kogen, Kyoto, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo. Saving time and money.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you very much Daniel. That's what I figured but wanted to verify because of the close proximity with cities we are going to visit and whether point to point with another rail company was the more financially smart move. This JR Pass should be able to cover all of that travel including non-shinkansen, JR owned rails as well correct? I just want to make sure before I pay this large amount.

Thank you again,

Mike
