I need help in transportation. Is it feasible to get the JR pass?

I’m trying to check if it will save me money.

we are traveling for 9 days in Japan. staying at Fuji area. however, we are planning to go to Tokyo 2 days, also one day to fox village ( Shiroishi-Zao station).

Then we will move to Osaka for 4 days and leave back home from Nagoya airport.

so main traveling routs between cities
Tokyo - Fuji
Fuji - Tokyo
Fuji - Tokyo - Shiroishi Zao Station
Fuji - Tokyo - Osaka
Osaka - Kyoto
Osaka - Nagoya

Everyone recommend to purchase it, however, while I’m trying to search he traveling cost to compare, I’m not sure if the JR pass cover all the stations we are heading to. It seems it does not include all cities or stations,

Can you advise if the JR pass will cover all stations i'm traveling to, also do I need to activate the JR pass at the NRT airport, or i can activate it 2 days after arrival at any station?

Hi there,

The 7-day JR Pass would be a good option if you can at least include:
Fuji - Tokyo - Shiroishi Zao Station
Fuji - Tokyo - Osaka
Osaka - Kyoto
Osaka - Nagoya

Within its validity period. Going to Zao, Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya by Shinkansen is a costly business and the JR Pass would certainly help you make savings here. The JR Pass covers travel to all the cities you visit, only around Fuji is it where you may need additional tickets. This will depend on where you stay.

You can activate the JR Pass any day when you are in Japan and don't have to do so right away at the airport.
