Hi Stephen Phang,

Yes, a 14 day JR Pass would help you make very good savings on this route compared buying normal tickets on this route. Your JR Pass covers travel between all the cities you visit, including Takayama - Toyama.

Your itinerary looks busy but works. Is there any part in particular where you'd like feedback on?

Hope this helps,
Daniel
