Hello,
We are going to spend 15 days in Japan on October.
We´ll arrive in Narita Airport and Tokyo on 13th October,
On 16th we´ll go from Tokyo to Nikko
On 17th from Nikko to Kawaguchiko
On 19th from Kawaguichiko to Kyoto
On 20th from Kyoto to Himeji returning to Kyoto
On 22th from Kyoto to Nara returning to Kyoto
On 24th from Kyoto to Tokyo
On 27th October from Tokyo to Narita
We are thinking on buying a 7 days JR Pass, activating it on 19th October
Would you please tell me if it is the correct choice? Any suggestions?
Thank you very much!

Hi there,

I think using the 7-day JR Pass here is the right choice.

To get the best use out of your JR Pass, I would swap Kawaguchiko - Nikko around. With the JR Pass, you can use the Shinkansen to go to Nikko without any extra cost, saving you travel time. At the same time, travel to Kawaguchiko is not fully covered by the JR Pass, so it makes sense to use normal tickets there.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
