Hi I’m seeking advice on what type of tickets will be best for me to purchase. I land in Osaka on the 22/09 this year and am spending the first night in a hotel at the airport so my trip really starts on the 23rd. I’ve booked accommodation in Kyoto until the 28th when I travel to Hiroshima for three days. Next it’s off to Fukuoka until the 3rd October then off to Nagoya before the final trip to Tokyo on the 6th. I leave Tokyo in the early hours of the 13th. The aim of the trip is to take in the beauties of the country whilst going to the World Cup rugby. I have a couple of matches booked so will be travelling from Kyoto to Kobe, Nagoya to Ecopa and also Tokyo to Ecopa.

Hi there,

Looks like a great trip to me, with added games in between. In terms of rail tickets, I'd look at either a 14 or 21-day Japan Rail Pass. Intercity travel is what costs the most and you'll be doing a lot of it. The JR Pass will cover travel between all the cities you visit and will help you make good savings at the same time.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
