Arriving Tokyo 24 Dec 18 then owards travel:
26 Dec 18 - Tokyo to Osaka
28 Dec 18 - Osaka to Kyoto
30 Dec 18 - Kyoto to Tokyo

Hi there,
I would recommend using a 7 day JR Pass to make the return between Tokyo - Osaka/Kyoto. These are the most expensive routes and the JR Pass will be of good use. You can also use the Shinkansen between Osaka and Kyoto with the JR Pass as a nice bonus :D
