My husband and I will be visiting Japan for the first time in a few weeks. We are wondering if it is more cost effective to purchase the 7 day or 14 day JR Pass? Here is our itinerary
Oct 8-13 - Tokyo (We will be doing a day trip to Mt. Fuji)
Oct 13-15 - Hakone
Oct 15-18- Osaka
Oct 18-21- Kyoto

Good to know, I looked at different passes but have to say it is hard to find one that matches your plans, and would help you make savings. I think the only option that comes close would be a 7-day JR Pass if you could use it to Kyoto, Osaka, and back to Tokyo but even then, there would not be a real difference over normal ticket prices. So, you could do either way.
