Day 4: Kyoto
Day 5: Kanazawa
Day 6: Takayama
Day 7: Tokyo
Day 8: Tokyo (Day trip - Hakone)
Day 9: Tokyo (Day trip - Yokohama)
Day 10: Tokyo
Day 11: Tokyo to Singapore (Leave 9.30am)

Hi there,

I recommend using a 7 day JR Pass for your itinerary and cover Tokyo - Kyoto - Kanazwa - Takayam - Tokyo with it. This way you can make very good savings and get the best out of the JR Pass.

I don't think that it is too ambitious, a day extra in Takayama or Kanazawa would have been nice but I don't see how to plan it in. Maybe if you went to Kyoto on day 1?

The rest looks great and I am sure that you'll have a good time in Japan!

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your reply.
There are indeed too many things to do in Japan... haha!

I also want to enquire about the transportation. I got some difficulties finding information on going Kanazawa to Shirakawago as i want to do a half a day there before i go to Takayama. I cannot find the Nohmi Bus timing like what time is the earliest bus which leave Takayama for Shirakawago. The website shows Takayama - Shirakawago - Kanazawa.

I understand the frequency of the bus is very little and i want to see if its worth it to drop by Shirakawago.
Could you assist me?

Hi again!

Shirakawago is very scenic but small, you can see it all easily in half a day.

Here is the time table.

Does that help?
