Hi all,

I'm travelling to Japan for 10 days, so can't decide whether I will need the 14 or 7 day pass. My itinerary is:

23 - Osaka - land in Osaka and travel to Osaka city
24 - Osaka - sightseeing in the city
25 - Osaka - sightseeing
26 - travelling to Kyoto - maybe via Nara but not confirmed.
27 - Kyoto sightseeing
28 - Kyoto
29 - Kyoto
30 - travelling to Tokyo
31 - Tokyo
1 - Tokyo
2 - Travelling to Tokyo airport

As you can see we aren't doing much travelling between cities. Debating whether to get the 7 day pass and start it from when we leave Osaka (26th), and just pay a one-off ticket to get from Osaka airport, and buy a metro pass in Osaka.

Any advice is welcome! And also any other tips :)

Hi there,

Most of your travel is within the Kansai Area, as such I think looking at a Kansai Area Pass or Kansai Area Wide Pass makes more sense. You can read more about the Kansai Area Pass here.

Then buy a one way ticket to Tokyo.

Hope this helps :)
Daniel
