Hi,

We're travelling to Japan for 10days for 2 adults. We have bought the tickets in a rush without much research and find out that we will need to get a 14days JR pass having only to be travelling in Japan for 10days.
Our itinerary as below:

Day 1: Tokyo Haneda transit to Osaka
Day 2: Osaka to Kyoto
Day 4: Kyoto to Tokyo
Day 10: Tokyo to Osaka
Day 10: Osaka transit Tokyo Narita

Do you have any recommendation on our itinerary adjustment (may only want to stay at Osaka for a day) or any our travel passes we can utilise on.

Hi there,

I would rearrange some travel here. Kyoto and Osaka are only 30 minutes away from each other by train while Tokyo is about 3 hours. It would make more sense to do something like Tokyo - Kyoto - Osaka - Tokyo. Then use a 7 day JR Pass for this part of the itinerary and buy normal tickets or day passes for the days that you are in Tokyo.

You may also like to do a day trip or two, for instance going to Nara (from Osaka or Kyoto) or to Kamakura (from Tokyo) can be a nice break from the more busier cities and get the best our of your JR Pass.
