In February next year I plan to come to Japan, I am planning to travel up from Tokyo to Niseko stopping off at various points along the way.
Can you advise how long it would take to get from Niseko back to Tokyo to catch my flight? We are trying to save costs so don't really want to fly. Our trip is going be 12 days, is it possible to get a 12 day pass? If so how much will it cost?

Hi there,
It will take around 6-7 hours if you use the Hokkaido Shinkansen. The JR Pass covers this route completely.
The closest airport for Niseko is Shin-Chitose and it is still a good trip from there as well to Niseko. Add in waiting time at the airport and flying time and the difference won't be much.
