Hi,
We are planning a trip to Japan for 15 days 30 Dec to 13 Jan. Is it worth it to buy a 14 Day JR Pass or are other options cheaper?

We will be arriving at Narita Airport on the 30th then going to Mt Fuji on the 4th Jan for one night then going down to Kyoto on the 5th, then to Osaka on the 9th. We will be departing at Kansai Airport on the 13th.

We are also planning to go to Disneyland, Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, Nara Park and Universal Studio.

Also, what is the best way to travel from Tokyo to Mt Fuji, then Mt Fuji to Kyoto?

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

The amount of travel will not be that much in terms of travel cost and it would not be cost efficient to use a Japan Rail Pass on your trip. The pass is best used on longer distance travel / intercity travel such as Tokyo - Kyoto.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
