Hi Daniel-San,

I'm planning on visiting The Fushimi Inari Shrine and Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in 1 day. I have an IC card to travel around. Could you advice me the best way to travel, I'm really confused... I have search up the ways to travel and this came up using Google Map.

From
Kuromon market - Nippombashi Station - Osaka Station - Kyoto Station - Inari Station - Fushimi Inari Shrine. And back to Kyoto Station to go to Saga-Arashiyama Station via the San-In Line and walk to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.

Is it possible to travel all those with just an IC card or is there a more convenient way? Please advice me. Thank you

Hello there,

Those are indeed all accessible using an IC card. I would however also recommend getting familiar with the Kyoto bus system, it is the way to travel around Kyoto. You can buy a 500yen/day ticket from the driver in the bus. A normal bus ride is 230yen flat fare, so it is easy to make savings.

A bus map can be found via:

Hope this helps,
Daniel

You would have to buy an extra ltd. express ticket, this can be done on board or beforehand at the station. You can use the ICOCA for the basic fare.
