I've checked the train itineraries on Hyder Dia. A lot of times travelling from one place to another requires transitting through another station eg from Yudanaka to Nagano, it was listed that we need to transit at Shinshunakano. However, I found that the transit time is really close, usually less than 5 minutes. Do we need to change trains or platform? If we do, we'll never be able to catch the said train. Does anyone know?

Hi,

Transfers in Japan are generally well thought out! If it says 5 minutes than that should be enough time to make the transfer.

Japan is a land of efficiency and you'll see that in train connections too.
