We will be flying into NRT and will be in Tokyo for 5 nights then will be in Osaka/Kyoto/Kobe for 3 nights then back to Tokyo for 1 night before flying out of NRT the next day. Would we save money buying a roundtrip ticket for NRT/Tokyo then using the 7 day JR pass for the days in between? Thank you!

Hi there,
Yes, a 7 day JR Pass would help you make savings. The cost of the pass is about the same as a return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto. Now you get 7 days of travel for the same price. Going to Osaka, Kobe and the airport is now basically free :)
Hope this helps,
Daniel
