Can you suggest places where one could watch/listen to traditional Japanese music using instruments like Koto or Shamisen? Very into world music and for many that Japanese instruments fascinaste me.

Hi there,

I must say that this is one of those area's of Japanese culture that I do not know much about. I'm much more into trains. That said, there is one train that combines both, where there are traditional performances on board. This is the resort Shirakami train, it is included in the JR Pass.

You can find details here:

Kind regards,
Daniel
