I am trying to understand how Hyperdia works!
On the website of Togura Kamiyamada Onsen travel, it said that with JR Pass I can take à train from Tokyo station to Ueda station, paying an extra only from there to Togura station, using Shimano Rail way. With Hyperdia the route is mot covered by JR pass and quite expensive!

Hi Hoa,
What part is not exactly clear to you? You can indeed use the JR Pass to Ueda station and from there use the non-JR Shinano tetsudo line to Ueda. The extra cost is 330yen.

Yes I am still trying to understand how Hyperdia works.
Schema showing on the website Togura kamiyamada is not clear for me because I see the same red line from Tokyo to Togura( For my understanding it is covered by JR Pass) and why the cost is about 7000yen? Now it is clear with your explanation. Thank you.
I have another question about the fare. On Hyperdia you see total fare( Basic fare+Seat fee). I have to pay the total fare or just the basic fare?
