A group of us (4) will be arriving in Japan (Haneda) with our Mountain Bikes during October and will be visiting the above areas.

Will a JR Pass be the most suitable and cost effective method to travel between those areas?

Hi there,

For this itinerary it's better to buy normal tickets or look at package deals. The JR Pass does cover most of your itinerary but ticket prices are below the cost of a JR Pass.

Also please note that you are only allowed to take a bike on the train if you bag it up. This may be hard with 4 mountains bikes - be sure to prepare well.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
