hi there
we arrive on 9/1/18 into narita from Aus
will stay overnight in narita
early morning run into Tokyo then out to nagano hakuba
from hakuba we would like to head down to Kyoto on around 15/1 then back to Tokyo what would be the best scenic route and which pass?
what is the difference between economy and first class? besides price

Hi Jamie,

How scenic do you want to get :) Without adding too much travel, you could do something like Hakuba - Kanazawa - Takayama (with possible side trip to Shirakawago) - Kyoto - Hakone - Tokyo. These are all quite scenic stops and could be fitted in without adding too much travel time.

First class in short is basically: travel in comfort and quiet. Seats are more comfortable and less people travel first class, making the whole experience more relaxed.
