HI, my husband and myself will be arriving in Narita airport on the 12th May 2018 at approx. 17.30. We intending to buy the 7 day JR pass and utilise on the first day of arrival. From Narita to Tokyo Station by Narita NEX. We will be exploring Tokyo for the next three days including a day trip to Mt Fuji via Kawaguchkio. On the 16th May to 18th May, we will travel to Kyoto from Tokyo by shinkasen. Within the 2 days in Kyoto, we will make a day trip to Osaka and Nara if possible. We will explore Kyoto on our first day of arrival from Tokyo. on the second day to Osaka and Nara. Then we will travel back to Tokyo from Kyoto by shinkasen on the 18th May. We will departs Tokyo on an early flight on 19th May from Haneda Airport. We might have to spend a night in the airport straight from Kyoto. The JR pass will expires on the 18th May. Is there a direct train service from Tokyo station to Haneda airport? if not, any advise? Does the 7 days JR pass cover the itinerary on the above? Your prompt attention onto this matter is highly appreciated.
Advice to first time traveller to JAPAN
Hi there,
A JR Pass would be a good match to your travel and help you make nice savings.
On the last day in Tokyo, you can use the Keiyu line directly from Tokyo station to Haneda or use the Tokyo Monorail from Hamamatsucho station.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Hi Daniel San
Thanks for your prompt reply.
If I use the Keiyu line from Tokyo station to Haneda or the monorail from Hamamatsucho, are they covered by the JR PASS?
Regards
Priscilla
Hi Priscilla,
The Monorail is but the Keiyu is not :)
Hi Daniel san
If I decided to make a few hours stopover at Mt Fuji on the same day before my way to Kyoto from Tokyo, is there any direct JR train service from Mt Fuji station to Kyoto Station?
Many thanks.
Priscilla
