Hi,
I'm planning to travel to Japan in Feb'2024. (Fukuoka > Osaka > Kyoto > Fukuoka > Nagasaki > Kumamoto > Oita > Fukuoka)

I have some doubts on Japan Rail Pass (whole japan) 14days, can you help to clarify?

  1. What is the difference between Whole Japan Railway Pass and Kyushu JR Pass?

  2. If i buy Whole Japan Railway Pass from Klook website, is it validate to use?

  3. If i buy the Whole Japan Railway Pass, can i use it to reserve the seat of Kyushu D&S train - Double Star 4047 without any charges?

  4. Any limitation for seat reservation of Sinkansen / D&S train? is it any max cap for seat reservations of Sinkansen / D&S train ?

Thanks for spending your time to clarify my doubts.

Hi there,

1.) The coverage area, in short the JR Kyushu passes are only valid within the Kyushu area. As you will be going to Kyoto and Osaka, this would not make sense for you.

2.) We can only help you for orders placed through www.jrpass.com, as other purchase terms and conditions may apply through other channels.

3.) Yes, assuming seats are available.

4.) No, but seats need to be available.
