Hello, my family will be in Osaka for 5 days and then Tokyo for 5 days. We plan to purchase the JR Rail Pass. My questions are:
1) Does this pass include the shinkasen from Osaka to Tokyo?
2) Can I use the pass to travel from Osaka to Kobe and then to Rokko Snow Park?
3) Can I use the pass to travel from Tokyo to Gala-Yuzawa?

Hi there,
1.) Yes, you can use the JR Pass on the Hikari Shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo.
2.) Osaka to Kobe is covered, you will still need additional travel to Rokko Snow Park, i.e. using a ropeway.
3.) Yes, this is also covered and you can even use the Shinkansen.
