Hi We are 2 adults traveling from Narita airport to Tokio staying for one week in Tokio and will be using the metro system for entire week. Considering also to visit Mount Fuji the first week.
Traveling with shinkansen to Kyoto sunday and returning to Tokio later that second week. Returning to Narita sunday morning.
Which JR pass shall we select that covers the period and travel distinations?
Do we need to book seats when traveling with shinkansen and how?
Hi there,
I would look at using a 7 day Japan Rail Pass and use it to cover the return Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen. As the cost of a pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket. From there, any additional travel is basically what you'd save. Such as traveling to Narita Airport.
