Could you help to recommend which JR passes I should get for travel.
Brief itinerary:
Tokyo 2 days
From Odawara to Osaka and Kyoto - total 8 days.
We would like to take the Hikari Shinkansen from Odawara to Osaka.
I believe there's also Shinkansen from Osaka to Kyoto and back.
Does the pass also cover travel to Kansai airport?

Hi there,
The JR Pass would cover your trip but tickets on this route would cost less than the cost of a JR Pass, as such I would buy normal tickets as you travel.

So I get Shinkansen tickets from Odawara to Osaka.
When I travel between Osaka to Kyoto and back and travel throughout Osaka, it is not necessary to get any JR pass? Is that correct?

For the Shinkansen, just buy a ticket on at the station as you can't use Suica for the Shinkansen. You can however use Suica for local travel within Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. Travel between Kyoto - Osaka is quite cheap and only 560/yen one way using local trains.
