My boyfriend and I will be travelling to Japan in May 2019 and we weren't sure which JR Pass to get and if any passes even over our planned itinerary.
So far, our plan is:
May 3-6: Tokyo
May 6-7: Hakone
May 7-11: Kyoto (and Nara for half a day)
May 11-14: Osaka (and Kobe for a half day and Hiroshima for a day trip)
We are also planning on coming back to Tokyo from May 24-27, so what are my options in this case?

Hi there,
The latter part of your trip, going to Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima is where you cover the most and what would also cost the most in ticket prices. My advice is to use a JR Pass for that part with the length of 7 days.
