Dear JR pass,

I am looking for the best cost saving pass or passes.

Day1- reach kix airport (take KATE bus transfer to USJ) & then tour around Osaka town
Day 2-USJ
Day3-Osaka to kyoto & then explore kyoto
Day4-kyoto & Nara
Day5-kyoto to kusatsu onsen
Day6 - kusatsu onsen
Day7- leave kusatsu to Tokyo
Day8- Tokyo
Day 9- Tokyo to Narita airport

I was thinking to get a JR pass 7 days to use from day 3 to day 9. But I was thinking is there other passes combination that can allow me to save further?
Please advise me.
Thank you so much in advance.

Hi there,

A JR Pass would be good if you made a return between Tokyo - Kansai. You basically travel one way with different stops on the way and normal tickets will cost less than a JR Pass.

For now I would just buy normal rail tickets, unless your plans change.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
