Hi! My family and I are going to Japan this May and I wanted to know if which parts of our trip we can use our JR Pass. Here is our itinerary:
Arrive May 18 1:55 pm Tokyo - Haneda Airport
May 18 to 19 Go around Tokyo May 20 Tokyo to Odawara (Hakone) To see Mt. Fuji and then return same day to Tokyo May 21 Leave Tokyo and go to Kyoto May 21 to 23 Go around Kyoto May 24 Leave Kyoto and go to Osaka. Spend day in Osaka and then we are thinking of using Sunrise Express to sleep on train which leaves Osaka May 24 night in order to get to Yokohama by May 25 May 25 Go around Yokohama May 26 Leave Yokohama to get to Haneda Airport for 9:45 am flight

Do you think this plan will work? I was thinking of using 7 day JR Pass between May 19 to May 25.
Will I have a hard time getting to Haneda by 9:45 am on May 26 if I stay in Yokohama?

Hi there,

The JR Pass would cover all travel between the cities you plan to visit and I think the plan works.

For travel to Haneda, it should not be too hard to get there but you'd still need to leave by 6 am in the morning to arrive on time and have ample time at the airport.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
