when to choose the days to use a flexible pass.

I will be getting a JR East South Hokkaido Pass. My question is when will i have to choose which 6 days i want to use in the 14 day period? Is it upon exchange? or is it on the dates u want to use it?

It's when you want to use it. You don't have to decide the dates way ahead of time.
