Hi, I am in Japan in May, 2 days Tokyo then 3 days Osaka. I am then on the Kumano Kudo trail for 11 days where all transport on buses and trains are covered. Then I am in Osaka for 3 days. I do not want to get a 21 day pass when I am only using it for 8 days. Do they have to be consecutive days? Can the JR pass be used on train from Haneida airport? Am I better off getting a 7 day pass for the start and using my pasmo card in Osaka and buying individual ticket for bullet train and then airport train.
Thank you

Hi there,

The JR Pass is indeed in consecutive days. Since you spend a good amount of time locally (11 days KumanoKodo - WOW), I think it would be best to buy normal tickets.

You could always get a Pasmo card if you want to make travel easier.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
