Hi there,
Just wondering, what specific local train lines are covered by the JR Pass?
Looking at travelling all over (Tokyo, Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Kobe) so want to find out what local train lines are covered by JR pass or will I need to buy SUICA or PASMO when travelling within these cities?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi there,

The JR Pass covers all JR lines nation wide, including the Shinkansen lines, local JR buses and Ferry to Miyajima.

There are simply too many lines to list them all here but I can tell you that the JR Pass will cover travel transport between all the cities you plan to visit. Tokyo and Osaka have a very extensive local JR Network. Still it is good to carry a Suica card for any travel you may do not covered.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
