Hi, am travelling to Japan this June. I will be in Tokyo to go to Akita and back. My query is, can i use my JR Pass in going to Akita thru Akita bullet train or should i get another ticket for me to use the bullet train? Also, where can i get this ticket for Akita bullet train and the possible schedule.

Yes, you can. With the JR Pass, you can reserve this train or any other, at any JR ticket window (at any manned JR station).
