Hello

I am just trying to understand whether I should get a 7 or 14 day pass. I have outlined a schedule below. Any help much appreciated.

Day 1 - Tokyo Airport to Tokyo
Day 4 - Tokyo to Hakone
Day 6 - Hakone to Kyoto
Day 9 - Kyoto to Nara (Return trip)
Day 10 - Kyoto to Osaka (Return trip)
Day 12 - Kyoto to Tokyo
Day 13 - Tokyo to Nikko (Return trip)
Day 14 - Tokyo to Tokyo Airport

Hi there,

I recommend using a 7-day JR Pass and use it from Day 6 - Day 12. This is the part where you travel the most and where you can make the best savings using the JR Pass.

If you want to save a bit extra on transport, see if you can go to Nikko on day 12 and stay the night there.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
