Its true that even if I have JRPass (14 days in my case) if you want to take a Shinkansen you have to pay an extra price for this type of trains?

I like true or false questions:

The quick answer is false, you can use all Shinkansen lines without any additional cost and seat reservations are fee too.

Adding a bit more context, there is one limitation and that is that you can not use Shinkansen trains that operate a Nozomi or Mizuho service. You can use the Sakura and Hikari services instead, the different is that these make a couple more stops on the way, that's all :)
