My husband and I will be travelling to Japan for 8 days and we are wondering if it's worth while to get a JR Pass for the below itinerary
Day 1 Narita - Kawaguchiko
Day 3 Kawaguchiko to Kanazawa
Day 4 Kanazawa to Shirakawago
Day 5 Shirakawago to Takayama
Day 6 Takayama to Tokyo
Day 8 Tokyo to Haneda

Yes, the JR Pass will help you make good savings on this route. While some parts are not included like the bus from Kanazawa to Shirakawa-go, other parts like the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Kanazawa and the route Takayama to Tokyo cost quite a bit and make up for this.
