Hey,

My son and I are planning to spend 7 days in Japan. We will be in Urayasu, Tokyo, and Kanazawa.

We are wondering which JR Pass we should but:
Should we buy the National JR Pass or can we buy the "Osaka Tokyo Hukuriku" pass (which is cheaper)?

I understand that we can use the pass for public transportation both in Tokyo and in Kanazawa. Am I right?

Thank you!
Daniel

Hello there,

The Osaka-Tokyo Hokuriku Arch Pass is indeed a great fit here. It is someone lower priced than the JR Pass and would cover most of your travel. You can use it for local JR lines and buses in Tokyo and Kanazawa but other transport like the metro is not included.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
