Hallo!

In Hyperdia, I have observed that sometimes the platforms numbers in the transfers are specified. I find this very helpful. Some other times, they do not mention them. Does that mean that the change is in the same platform?

Besides, in some cases, there are only 2-4 minutes to do the transfer (and no platform numbers specified). How can someone new to Japan be able to leave a train, search for the next one, find out the next platform number and get to the next train in only a couple of minutes?

I guess I am missing something. I appreciate your feedback.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Hi there,

Sometimes Hyperdia has the platform information and sometimes it does not. However many smaller stations in Japan only have 2 platforms and making a transfer should be easy.

Transfers also well thought out, its part of the Japanese effeciency. If Hyperdia says 4 minutes, than you can generally make it without issue.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
