I intend to travel with a family of 5 (all adults) for 14 days to JPN, early Feb.
I will touch down in Narita and want to visit Hokkaido.
My travel itinerary would be
Day 1-2: Tokyo > Day 3-5: Tohoku region > Day 6-12: Hokkaido > Day 13-14: Tokyo/Narita

can i buy JR east-south Hokkaido rail pass and complete the itinerary above?

Hi there,

It depends on where you want to travel in Hokkaido, note that it only goes to the south of Hokkaido. If you're going to, say, Sapporo, then a normal JR Pass would be the better option. Also, this pass is for 6 consecutive days, so you'd still need additional travel for Tohoku.

Kind regards,
Daniel
