We are going to visit Japan on 28 April - 5 May. We want to travel from Tokyo to Kyoto and back on 30. April - 3 May.
When I check on internet, it is not possible to book tickets for next week due to peak season. If we buy a JR Pass, how can I know that we will get a ticket on 30. April from Tokyo to Kyoto and 3. May from Kyoto to Tokyo?
What do you recommend us to do?

Hi there,
During Golden Week it is best to reserve your seats a couple days in advance.
Since you arrive on the 28th, I would make my reservations on that day for the 30th. Doing so will ensure your seat is secured :)
