Tokyo to Koyasan

Hello, we are travelling from Tokyo to Koyasan and spending a night in Henjosonin. We are using the JRP and would like to know which train station in Tokyo the train departs from, and what time as we would like to get an early start. We would also like to know which connecting trains to catch.

Hi there,

The best thing to do is to get on the Shinkansen from Tokyo - -Shin-Osaka, at Shin-Osaka take a local train to SHINIMAMIYA, there get on the Nankai railway to Koya-san. Note that the Nankai Railway is not covered by the JR Pass and required a ¥870 fare.
