Tokyo-Sendai-Sapporo-Tokyo in August

Hi,
we are going to Japan this August, from 6 to 22. Surely we will buy the JR pass in June because we will travel a lot. My questions are about 3 important days in which we absolutely mustn't miss the train:
A: from Tokyo to Sendai ( 7 august)
B: From Sendai to Hakodate (10 august)
Third part: from Sapporo to Tokyo (15 august)

I know that in Tohoku August is a period of events and matsuri. Will it be difficult to find seats?
What do you suggest for a seat reservation?

The hardest journey will be from Sapporo to Tokyo. Can you help me to find a triain with hyperdia?I tried to calculate two different routes: Sapporo - Shin-Hakodate and it's all right, then Hakodate-Ueno but in this case the website gives only a night train. .. surely I did something wrong :(

Hi there,

I have good news for you, you can reserve all these trains in advance using the JR East reservations service. Starting one month in advance. This way you will be sure to be on the train.

Be sure to read it carefully, as there are some rules and limitations.

Overall I do not think you'll have problems finding seats, even if you reserve them in Japan some days in advance.

For using Hyperdia, keep the option with [Hayabusa] on, as the JR Pass includes the Hayabusa Shinkansen. The Nozomi/Mizuho are not, so remove this option if you travel south of Tokyo.
